Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacancy which has arisen in Chipinge Rural District Council.
Reporting to the Treasurer
Duties & Responsibilities
o To prepare council’s annual financial statements and have these ready for audit within the time frame set out in relevant legislation.
o To respond to audit reports (internal/external) within fifteen (15) days from date of receipt. o To implement audit recommendations pertaining to Treasury Department.
o To prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
o To prepare the departmental budgets.
o To prepare monthly cash flow projections and the actual funds flow statements. To maintain loans and investment registers so that they are in place and kept up to date monthly.
o To supervise departmental staff deployment, performance and development. o To perform any other duties as assigned by Treasurer and management from time to time.
o To prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly statutory returns and submit on time.

Qualifications and Experience

o Five (5) 0 levels including English and Maths.
o Degree in Accountancy or equivalent..
o Knowledge of Pastel Accounting is an added advantage.
o Three (3) years’ experience in Accounting Environment.
o Knowledge of Ms Excel.
