Job Summary
An educational institution is inviting applications for the following position.

ACCOUNTS AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

Duties And Responsibilities
The incumbent will be required to:
Maintain and update cashbooks
Responsible for processing purchase and sales ledger invoices, complete reconciliations, and general finance related within the department
Asset register-Coding of company assets and periodic checking Creditors and Debtors management
Bank Reconciliation, preparation of accounts to Statement of financial position
Buying-all departmental requirements
Processing of all payments by bank transfers (local and international) Effective billing of customer ledger accounts and adjusting errors Stock taking and auditing of company resources
Balancing of cash received by cashiers (cash-up) and banking on time Producing management accounts
Completing and submitting statutory returns i.e PAYE and NSSA Preparing weekly and monthly accounts and management reports Ensuring that all expense claims are collated and paid on time
Any other duties assigned

Qualifications And Experience
Applicants MUST have the following requirements:
• Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• Studying toward a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIS, CIMA
• Minimum 3 years working experience in accounting or related field
• High level computer literacy, knowledge and experience of using Pastel Accounting System
• A minimum of 35 years of age

The incumbent MUST be able to work on Weekends and Evenings.
