Description of the office
Trócaire Zimbabwe’s Country Office manages an integrated programme focusing on women’s empowerment, access to and use of natural resources and civil society strengthening. Trócaire works exclusively through and with local partners and currently manages a portfolio of over 20 local partner organisations. The Zimbabwe country office has a programmes and finance and administration team overseen by the Country Management Team. This position will be situated within the programmes team and will work closely with the finance team.

Background to the Role
As part of its work on Civil Society Strengthening, Trócaire seeks a full time Project Officer to manage an EC funded Programme focused on ‘Strengthening the role of the Church in promoting social cohesion and civic participation within devolution processes’. Within this project Trócaire will lead a consortium consisting of 4 church organizations, who are members of the Zimbabwe Head of Christian Denominations. This role will be responsible for providing overall strategic direction to the project, managing the Consortium effectively and managing all aspects of budget oversight and delivery of agreed results across the Consortium. The role will be responsible for all back donor reporting and compliance. The project officer will report to the Governance and Human Rights Advisor.
