Deputy Director, Business Applications Support (Grade E5)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Ensure the availability of functional business applications for Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
•Facilitate the provision of efficient data management services.
•Develop, review and update ICT operational standards, policies and procedures.
•Oversee the creation and maintenance of system, user manuals, license agreements, and documentation of systems modifications and upgrades.
•Develop contingency plan for disaster recovery and business continuity.
•Manage the delivery of ICT capacity building for government officials and citizens.
•Coordinate applications systems upgrades, installations, conversions and maintenance.
•Participate in ICT policies formulation and strategic planning.
•Prepare and implement budgetary requirements for the unit.
•Supervise and appraise subordinates.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
•Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or Business Informatics or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant higher degree in an IT related field will be an added advantage.
•Relevant IT related certification will be an added advantage.
•Qualification and/or experience in Project Management is an added advantage.
•Eight (8) or more years of progressive IT experience.
•Extensive knowledge of application systems development, support and maintenance
•Knowledge of network and hardware platforms.

In addition to the above, applicants must possess the following:

1. At least 5 ‘O’ Levels including English Language, Science and Mathematics with Grade C or better.
2. Three traceable references.
