Develop operational strategy in order to ensure that internal and external stakeholders of the Bank receive accurate and timely financial information for decision making. To provide the business with sound financial reporting guidelines to comply with International Financial Reporting Standards.
Duties And Responsibilities
Developing the operating plan for the Planning and Data Analytics Department
Analysing and projecting resource requirements to build the Departmental operating plan in line with the business’s strategic objectives and the expectations of the CFO
Preparing the budget timetable for the Bank
Coordinating the budget process including budget meetings to capture strategic expectations and departmental plans.
Reviewing monthly rolling forecasts prepared by the Business Analysis and Planning Manager for the CFO’s approval.
Ensuring that the approved budget by the board is used to track performance in all Management, Board and Group reports.
Overseeing the preparation and timely circulation of the Daily Performance Snapshot and Monthly Departmental Performance reports
Reviewing and presenting the weekly Reality Check reports
Reviewing periodic business reports relevant to planning and data analytics
Analyzing Data Analytics reports, drawing key operational, tactical and strategic insights
Analysing and interpreting key developments within the regulatory, monetary and fiscal space
Establishing best practice methods for investment and product appraisal for use by the Business Analysis and Planning Team.
Developing the necessary plans to ensure that the Department meets its agreed goals and objectives.
Qualifications And Experience
Degree in Finance, Accounting or Banking will be required
Member of a Professional Body such as CIMA/ ICAZ
6 – 8 years’ experience in financial services, of which 2years must be in Banking.
