Africare seeks suitably qualified candidates for a WFP funded Lean Season (Food) Assistance Project to be implemented in Gwanda district. Selected candidates should be available to start on very short notice. Please note that the posts are being re-advertised. Preference will be given to candidates from Gwanda and surrounding areas.

1. FIELD MONITORS (Fixed Term)

Purpose
• Conduct, monitor and supervise the Cash based transfer and food distributions within Gwanda District. Foster good relations with local rural district officials, stakeholders, local markets to facilitate the smooth implementation of the Lean Season Assistance Program.

Qualifications/experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Agriculture, Rural Development, Forestry, Agribusiness or related field. Minimum 1-2 years NGO experience in emergency and humanitarian programs, cash based transfers and/or food security and disaster management is required. Clean and valid class 4 driver’s license with one-year driving experience.
• Fluency in Ndebele (both written and spoken) a MUST.

2. MONITORING AND EVALUATION ASSISTANT (Fixed Term)

Purpose
• Develop relevant tools that will facilitate effective programme management, efficient and transparent accounting of commodities and cash transfers; collect data using developed tools to effectively measure project impact to beneficiaries and non- beneficiaries.

Qualifications/experience:
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Social Sciences or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in M & E.
• Fluency in Ndebele (both written and spoken) a MUST.

3. COMMODITY TRACKING OFFICER (Fixed Term)

Purpose
• Plan and carry out safe, proper and secure warehousing of commodities. Authorize food dispatches as per approved distribution plans and ensure proper accounting and sound paper trail of all food stocks movement in and out of the warehouse.

Qualifications and experience
• Degree in Logistic, Business Management or related field and at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role. Experience in operations would be an added advantage with good written and verbal communications skills.
• Fluency in Ndebele (Both written and spoken) a MUST.

4. TALLY CLERK (Fixed Term)

• Receiving and dispatching of food stocks from WFP and maintaining proper and accurate records of stocks. Signing of waybills from WFP transporters and ensure that the stock received tally with the figures on the waybill.
• Submit monthly statistics on the stocks position.

Qualifications and experience
• A minimum of 2 years related post-qualification experience plus a minimum of Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies, Stores Management, Logistics or from any other related commodity tracking and management qualification.
• Fluency in Ndebele (Both written and spoken) a MUST.
