Duties And Responsibilities
• Property Records management
Process agreements of sale, cessions, application for titles and other related applications.
> Carries out housing needs assessment and liaises with the Engineering Department in terms of housing delivery strategies.
> Initiating, recommending and implementing policies and programmes for the promotion and development of decent affordable housing.
> Promotion of local economic development. > Maintenance of Housing Waiting list.
> Ensures departmental compliance with
statutory / national legislation as well as council
policies, procedures and standing instructions. > Oversees formulation of departmental By-laws.
> Management of recreational facilities.
Initiating, recommending and implementing poverty alleviation policies.
> Providing leadership, supervision and appraising subordinates staff in the Department
> Compiles monthly report for submission to the relevant Committee.
> Performing any other duties as assigned by the Board Secretary.
Qualifications And Experience
> Have a Social Science Degree or equivalent
> Post graduate degree will be an added advantage .
> Be at least 30 years and above
> 5 years experience in a local authority
> Proven hands on experience in Housing and Social Services delivery issues.
> A clean Class 4 drivers licence
