Job Summary
The ICT Officer will be responsible for general maintenance of computer equipment and for the resolution of identified technical problems. Responsible for providing first line user support on technical support and training to staff as well as undertaking general tasks which will promote the use of ICT in the RCZ.

Duties And Responsibilities
Resolving user support queries, initializing incident investigation, and resolving issues.
 Support desktop users, business applications and network connectivity
 Set up hardware, and install and configure software
 Maintain and repair technological equipment (e.g. routers) or peripheral devices such as scanners, printers, whiteboards, projectors
 Install well-functioning LAN/WAN and other networks and manage components (servers, IPs etc.)
 Manage security options and software in computers and networks to maintain privacy and protection from attacks
 Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated
 Troubleshoot system failures or bugs and provide solutions to restore functionality
 Keep a log of all technical faults and repairs
 Liaise with external support agencies, to resolve faults speedily
 Set up, maintain and remove user network accounts where appropriate
 Provides first line technical support for all employees.
 Provides remote support and troubleshooting for IT-related devices and software applications used in administrative business process and academic environments including, but not limited to: networking, wireless, mobile devices, software, and web applications;
 Train End Users in use of Equipment and Software.
 Works to continually improve business processes and streamline operational efficiency.

Qualifications And Experience
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
 2 – 3 years prior experience in an enterprise environment
 Extremely detail oriented
 Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
 Be able to work on his/her own initiative
 Demonstrate practical knowledge and problem-solving strategies
 Have high quality inter-personal skills
 Keep abreast of new developments in software and hardware
