International Sales Co-ordinator : Saint-Gobain Gyproc Zimbabwe

Job Purpose

To co-ordinate the internal sales activity within the Exports department, including the processing of quotations, orders and purchase requisitions as well as to liaise with freight forwarders and other stakeholders in expediting cross border and sea freight orders

Duties And Responsibilities
Key responsibilities :

To respond quickly and efficiently to all incoming sales enquiries via telephone or email.
To follow-up on all queries’, preparing proposals where necessary.
Processing of Customer Quotes and Orders
Liaising with FWD Agents and Shipping companies re: loadings
Transport planning and liaising with the warehouse for packing of containers and loading of Trucks
Finalising shipping and Clearing documents with all stakeholders
Contracting and raising requisitions for booking of trucks and containers
To record the progress of all enquiries and translate into a weekly report, including source of business trends and other relevant reports as directed by the Manager.
Update of tracking system to ensure efficient tracking of vehicles en route to customers, and providing weekly report/feedback to customers.
To coordinate and direct customer service activities such as Claims, Accounts related queries, pricing.

Qualifications And Experience
Qualifications required:

National Diploma in Business/ relevant field
Market Related qualification i.e. Shipping International Trade will be an added advantage

Knowledge and Skills .

3 years’ experience in a co-ordinator/administrator role in an internal sales environment.
Must be Fluent in English
Service industry experience with emphasis on commercial sales
Customer Service experience is essential
Working knowledge of an ERP system (SAP)
Knowledge of MS Office
Strong numeracy skills
Attention to detail
Good team working skills
Ability to identify and resolve problems and put forward recommendations
Adherence and awareness of internal controls
Ability to prioritise workload, resources and manage time
Ability to write and communicate business trends and recommendations in a structured professional manner
Good planning and organisational skills to ensure workloads are managed effectively
A good understanding of import and exports transportation principles
Relationship management capability and ability to interact at all levels
To provide input and ideas into divisional initiatives and subsequently promote these initiatives and monitor responses
To work closely with external customers and vendors
Ensure that stock is secured and inventory is managed efficiently and accurately to ensure that there is always availability of stock
