A well established organisation is seeking a ICT Support Engineer with at least minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT.
Duties And Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will take responsibility for methodical approach when a problem arises to get to the best resolution for the client. Microsoft Server & workstation experience (Build, administer, support). Solid understanding of Desktop and Server Support. Good background of networking fundamentals. ▪ Comfortable working within a team to hit goals. Comfortable assisting customers when solo on site, directly supporting their needs. Manage helpdesk process. Resolve helpdesk calls promptly either telephone, or remote management. Receive/log/route user calls for assistance or repair, follow-up on and/or report aged calls to ensure timely response. Respond to requests for assistance via remote support tools, telephone or in person. Troubleshoot and coordinate resolution of helpdesk tickets. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, knowledge-base and procedures. Perform Managed Services Support duties at all Customer sites. Research, evaluate and test hardware and software products and systems solutions; install, configure and test hardware and/or software. Prepare reports or proposals. Consult with clients on re-engineering business processes and the use of technology, products and services, develop and conduct training in operating and use of hardware and software. Assemble and modify existing pieces of equipment to meet special needs. Analyse user needs and recommend appropriate hardware. Provide systems support for LAN and WAN clients. Install, configure and troubleshoot application software. Carry out regular file and application backup restore operations. Install, configure and manage telecommunication equipment for our clients. Sales and Telesales. Lead Generation. Telephonically contact prospective clients who have responded to an advertising or direct marketing campaigns. Hand over qualified leads to Senior Consultant. Direct Sales. Contact existing customers and new prospects to attempt to sell our products and services. Customer Service. Call customers to check their details and update contact records. Let customers know about new.
