Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions that have arisen at the Women’s University in Africa in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences:

X2 Library Assistant (Kadoma/Marondera)


Works with appropriate administrators to implement, administer, facilitate, and assess goals, programs, and services in campus libraries;
Oversees the physical facilities of Library;

Manning the Issue Desk and circulating print and electronic information resources equitably to all users;
Shelving and shelve reading on all library materials to enable the fast and easy retrieval of materials by users;
Compile quarterly and annual reports and statistics on Library and information service provision;
Safeguarding library resources through supervision of users in the library system;
Assist users to locate print and electronic materials required in a digital library environment;
Identify materials required by users that are not in the Library and informing the responsible officer to acquire them through Inter-Library Loan system;
Identify print materials that are torn and mutilated for repairs and binding;
Conduct library orientation and information literacy training programs;
Indicating missing items on the manual and online catalogues;
Any other duties as assigned by supervisors.


Diploma in Library and Information Science
Ability to work with computers to access and retrieve electronic information an advantage
Flexibility to work extended hours and over weekends
