Mid Term Evaluation of three year project on strengthening the capacity of youth, women and churches to promote peaceful coexistence and contribute meaningfully to development of Zimbabwe: Local NGO

Duties And Responsibilities
A faith based INGO is looking for a Consultant to conduct a mid-term evaluation of an on-going project which seeks to contribute to a peaceful, informed and inclusive society where youth, women and marginalized communities participate in national processes. The evaluation will assess the progress of the project against stated targets and indicators as outlined in the project proposal and baseline study, as well as identify emerging issues and recommend corrective actions to be integrated into the remaining project period as well as inform future interventions. This evaluation will cover all activities conducted during the project implementation cycle to cover the period October 2018 – March 2020, therefore ongoing and/or completed activities will also be evaluated. It includes the major project components on : I) Increased adoption of positive livelihoods options and social cohesion is evident among youth and women from diverse political and ethnic backgrounds in target areas, 2) Churches, faith-based organisations (FBOs) and civil society organisations (CSOs) have increased capacity to mitigate and address conflict and are more coordinated to advocate for peace in the three selected community areas of Binga,Caledonia and Marondera rural, 3) Women, youth, and CSOs are positively engaged in developmental issues with their local leaders at community and regional level.

Qualifications And Experience
The organization is looking for a consultant(s) with a minimum of 5 years consulting experience and specific experience in working with faith based organisations and religious institutions. The lead evaluator should have a degree in development studies/peacebuilding/conflict transformation or equivalent. The consultant(s) should demonstrate a track record of producing high quality results together with excellent analytical and report writing skills.

The approaches to be used for data collection and inclusion of cross cutting issues such as gender, engagements with youths, women and people living with disabilities, protection of the environment among others; Financial proposal which shows, complete cost estimate that includes both, the fee as well as any ancillary costs to be incurred, such as transport, accommodation, taxes, fees and costs of workshops in the scope of the evaluation etc.
