Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in the following positions that have arisen within our organization:
The incumbent reports to the Chief Executive Officer and responsible for procurement of goods and services in accordance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act Chapter 22.23.
Duties And Responsibilities
➢ Advising the Chief Executive Officer, Procurement Management Unit and Disposal Committee on procurement and asset disposal matters.
➢ Liaise with the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ) on procurement issues to ensure the Corporation adheres to the relevant statutes
➢ Plans and oversees the procurement of goods and services for Procurement Entity in line with the procurement regulations.
➢ Oversees the development of procurement contracts by liaising with user departments and legal department in contract drafting, negotiations and contract management, to ensure the entity has valid procurement contracts.
➢ Develops and implements supplier evaluation programs.
➢ Prepares bid documents and contracts in compliance with the provisions of procurement regulations.
➢ Co-ordinates bidding processes,
including pre-bid meetings, clarifications and the receipt and opening of bids.
➢ Co-ordinates the evaluation of bids and any post-qualification negotiations required
➢ Prepares contract documents and amendments.
➢ Prepares such procurement reports as may be required by the procuring entity’s Accounting Officer.
➢ Provides technical procurement
guidance/support to line managers
➢ Stores Management.
➢ Preparing procurement reports as and when required.
Qualifications And Experience
➢ Degree in Procurement /Supply Chain Management/Purchasing or equivalent qualification.
➢ Relevant post graduate qualification is an added advantage.
➢ Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) an added advantage.
➢ Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements.
➢ Minimum five (5) years working experience in Procurement Department of which three (3) should be at managerial level.
➢Excellent communication skills.
