Job Summary
Responsible for planning, organizing, controlling and monitoring the retail operations, budgets, product inventory, logistics, purchasing, sales and staff. This involves working with sales and marketing teams, creative designers, finance staff, procurement and loss control staff.

Duties And Responsibilities
a) Strategic Plans & Objectives – development of strategic business plans & objectives
b) Budgeting & Budgetary Controls – budget preparation & controls
c) Sales & Profitability – meeting sales targets, profitability and cost containment efforts
d) Customer Service & Liaison
e) Stocks & Records – Responsible for ordering, stocking, issuing stocks, and company records
f) Work Flow – Organizing, coordinating, and monitoring the flow of work in the division
g) Cash Handling – Responsible for all cash management procedures and systems
h) Leadership & Guidance – provide leadership, teambuilding, guidance and industrial relations
i) Promotions & Merchandise – Responsible for sales promotions and display of merchandise
j) Safety & Security – Responsible for safety of people and maximum security of property
k) Problem Resolution – actively guide the resolution of problems within the department
m) Performance Management – actively lead the performance management thrust of the company
n) Reporting & Deadlines – ensuring all reports and deadlines are met timeously

Qualifications And Experience
Minimum of a relevant Degree in Retail Management / Sales and Marketing / Management
MBA is an added advantage
Postgraduate Diploma in Sales and Marketing Management
• 5 years (Senior Management) – Retail Industry relevant experience
• Ability to meet strict production timelines
• Experience operating retail stores modern equipment
• Information technology skills
Knowledge of latest retail operations systems and trends
