Job Summary
The purpose of the Ward Field Officer is to support the implementation of the Care group model at Ward level. S/He will be in constant collaboration with the WFNSCs, VFNSCs and project beneficiaries.

Duties And Responsibilities
Objective 1: Ensure the implementation of project activities as defined in the project document
• The ward officer will work closely with the WNSCs and other government departments at ward an village level in the implementation of the stunting reduction program with a special focus on the care group model in emergency
• Ensure collaboration with key partners in project activities and/or training in line with programme plans
• Ensure effective and cohesive implementation of nutrition sensitive and nutrition specific interventions and reporting from community level
• Organise trainings for stake holders and beneficiaries on the care group approach for promoting optimal IYCF-e practices
• Ensure promotion of strong linkages between the program and other existing programs.
• Facilitate coordination with authorities for all activities (share information, assist as needed and feasible for NAZ)
• Participate in meetings related to nutrition as assigned by FS and necessary for NAZ representation and coordination with partners
• Conduct activities as requested by the Field Supervisor

Objective 2: Ensure timely routine reporting of project activities
Activities:
• Participate in weekly/ monthly base meetings
• Compile activity and training reports
• Compile statistical data and draft appropriate reports on activities
• Analyze nutrition situation and prevailing trends and provide constructive written feedback
• Participate during program assessments as may be determined by the Field Supervisor
• Documentation of best practices for learning purposes and increase program visibility

Qualifications And Experience
• Degree in Nutrition or related qualification,
• Project and team management skills (planning, anticipation, organization, supervision, monitoring, evaluation) an added advantage
• Good communication skills with the community, Energetic, Flexible, Reliable, Passionate and a Team Player
• Knowledge of local languages a prerequisite
• Class 3 Driver’s license and riding experience a must
